End-of-Term 1 Assessment & Project Showcase
Can I demonstrate what I have learned in Term 1?
- Complete the end-of-term written exam under conditions
- Present the group Computer Administration & Electronics project
- Reflect on growth and set a Term 2 goal
Overview
Week 10 has two big pieces: a written exam covering Topics 1 and 2, and a group project showcase. The project asks a group to solve a real school ICT problem using what they have learned — a mini job for a real sysadmin.
Written exam
Section A — MCQ + short answer covering computer administration, troubleshooting, components and timing. Section B — structured questions (choose a scenario, apply the 5-step cycle, read a datasheet). Read every question, plan your time, answer the easy ones first.
Project showcase
Groups present a 3-minute talk on their term project (for example: 'Setting up a 5-PC classroom lab' or 'Diagnosing a dead PC'). Cover: problem, plan, tools/components, steps, and what you would do differently.
